Partners In Ministry: Introducing Starr of David

Partners in Ministry

So I always knew a dog would be a part of my ministry, even before God revealed to me what my ministry would look like.  So, this past Saturday, I made a trip to Huntsville AL and picked up my new partner in ministry.  Her name is Starr of David.  She came with the name Starr. She is a rescue who has been fostered at a vet in Huntsville for most of her approx. 8-11 months on this earth. I added the “David” as a tribute to my good friend David Quam. David was used by God to introduce me to the homeless community in preparation for my unique call as a street chaplain. David died in May, but will always be remembered by the many whose lives he touched.  I am sure he is smiling as he watches Starr watch over me as we minister to the sacred sparks inside our friends on the streets of Nashville.

Shout out to Chase Animal Hospital in Huntsville for taking care of her until God hooked us up 🙂

Check back often to see how Starr is doing in her new role!!

Shalom U’vracha,

Lisa Cook & Starr
